Wiring Requirements and Specifications for Air Switches in Low-voltage distribution cabinet
2025-10-23 11:41:48

1.Working conditions and on-site preparation work

① The box installation is completed.

Low-voltage distribution cabinet

② The empty circuit breaker, wiring wires, wiring ties, etc. inside the box have been prepared and meet the design drawings and installation requirements for Low-voltage distribution cabinet.

2. Installation of guide rails inside the box

The installation of the guide rail should be horizontal and match the open operation hole on the cover plate

3. Installation of empty circuit breaker inside the box

① When installing with an empty opening, the first thing to pay attention to is the position of the installation hole on the box cover to ensure that the empty opening is in the reserved position on the box cover. Secondly, when installing the switch, it should be arranged from left to right, and the reserved position for the switch should be a whole position.

② The reserved space is usually placed on the right side of Low-voltage distribution box. There is a complete space reserved between the first row main air switch and the branch air switch for the wiring of the first empty air switch.

4. Neutral line wiring of air circuit breaker

① The zero line color should be blue.

② The lighting and socket circuits generally use 2.5mm2 wires, and the number of air switches connected in series by each wire shall not exceed 3. The air conditioning circuit generally uses 2.5mm2 or 4.0mm2 wires, with one wire paired with an air switch.

③ Neutral wires between different phases must not be shared. If the first yellow wire from phase A is connected to two 16A lighting switches, then the neutral wire for phase A can only be connected to these two switches and directly connected to the neutral wire terminal after configuration.

④ The wiring between the main air switch and each branch air switch inside the box usually goes on the left side, while the wiring for power distribution system outgoing lines usually goes on the right side.

⑤ The wiring inside the box should be straight and free of wrinkles. The wires should be tied with plastic ties of appropriate size and evenly spaced.

⑥ The wire bending should be consistent and there should be no dead bends to prevent damage to the wire insulation and internal copper core.
